The Enviropure UV-PAK provides a practical method to purify household drinking water using germicidal Ultraviolet (UV) light. The short wave UV light destroys bacteria, viruses, and other microorganisms by interfering with DNA and RNA in the organisms' reproduction cycle. No chemicals are added to the water. The UV portion of the UV-PAK has not been tested by the NSF nor certified by the California Department of Health Services for health claims. The UV light, howeve, is effective for the claim made of disrupting the reproductive cyvle of bacteria, viruses, and microorganisms.
