Get up to $2000 back from GE
GE's biggest rebate ever at Universal Appliance and Kitchen CenterMIX OR MATCH & GET MORE BACK.Save up to $2000 when you purchase 2 or more eligible GE Profile™ Series, GE Café™ Series or GE® appliances. Includes kitchen and laundry appliances.Buy any 8 save $2,000Buy any 7 save $1,250Buy any 6 save $1,000Buy any 5 save $750Buy any 4 save $500Buy any 3 save $300Buy any 2 save $100Offer valid for products purchased May 22 – July 7, 2014.What does it mean when GE says this is their biggest rebate ever? At Universal Appliance and Kitchen Center (UAKC) it wouldn't be unusual for a customer to get $2,000 or even more from Viking, Sub Zero, or Thermador on a luxury kitchen appliance package. The appliances can easily cost $25,000 or more. However, earning up to $2000 in rebates on a GE kitchen package is really quite a special offer. Considering that most appliance rebates among the popular brands such as GE, Frigidaire, and Whirlpool are in the $50 to $100 range, earning up to $2000 on GE appliances is a really good deal. For example, purchasing an upscale KitchenAid dishwasher, range, microwave, and refrigerator under their current rebate offer will on average work out to $500. What all of this amounts to is that if you're shopping for appliances in the popular/mid-level brand category you should take a hard look at GE, GE Profile, or GE Cafe for pricing and rebate savings. These are great brands -

Luxury appliances on a budget
Save Money on Luxury Brands at Universal Appliance and Kitchen CenterIf you are building a new house or remodeling your kitchen, and are suffering from sticker shock on the cost of luxury appliances do not despair. Yes, famous name luxury brands can easily price some of us out of the market, but there are some options. Here are three ways that the folks at Universal Appliance and Kitchen Center (UAKC) can help you get appliances you'll love at a price you can afford.1. Chose a different luxury brand. If price is a consideration (isn't it always?), don't limit yourself to the big names. There is a growing list of quality appliances in the luxury category that may fit your needs. Tell your appliance consultant at UAKC that you are willing to look at alternative brands if you can save money. For example, Bertazzoni is a brand that's been around in Europe for generations, but has just recently decided to export to the U.S. Check out this pro-style gas range that sells for half the price of some of the big name luxury brands.Bertazzoni Master Series MAS304GASXEFeatures 30" Pro-Style Gas Range 4 Sealed Aluminum Burners 18,000 BTU Burner 3.6 cu. ft. Convection Oven Full-Width Infrared Broiler2. Luxury Brand Name vs Luxury ProductYou may be able to purchase a luxury product that is not a luxury brand. For example, GE Monogram is the designated luxury brand of GE Appliances, and GE Monogram has a full-line of built-in refrigerators. -

Advanced Technology in Today's Refrigerators
Three Modern Refrigerator ImprovementsAvailable at Universal Appliance and Kitchen Center (UAKC)It's been several decades since the average American family relied on an "Ice Box" to keep food cold. In fact, most of us have never owned a manual defrost refrigerator. Today, we not only take for granted that we're going to have an appliance that will keep frozen food frozen, and cold food cold, but we also expect our refrigerator to dispense water and ice, all the while using about the same amount of energy as a 60 watt light bulb. Twenty-first century refrigerators are really a credit to remarkable and steady advances in technology. Universal Appliance and Kitchen Center carries all the major refrigerator brands at popular prices as well as the luxury brands. They also carry several of the specialty refrigerator brands.1. Compressor technologyToday's compressor's are much smaller and run far quieter than the big piston model that would noisily pump away inside the old porcelain lined monster "fridge" of Ozzie and Harriet's day. A variable speed refrigerator compressor in 2014 might run 100% of the time changing speed based on demand for cooling from various sensors, and even factoring in usage patterns.2. Improved insulation.Fiberglass blankets have been replaced by blown in polyurethane foam-in-place insulation. Better insulation can not only reduce energy usage, but can also strengthen the refrigerator walls and increase the capacity.3. Defrost technology."Frost-free" refrigerators have been around for decades. Traditionally, a frost free refrigerator goes into a defrost cycle automatically after a certain number of -

Past and Present Appliance Innovations
Two Old Appliance InnovationsAnd Their New VariationsSome of you might have been around when the microwave oven was thought to be a fad. And many of us remember when convection cooking was only available on expensive luxury ovens. We briefly look at these categories below and how they are evolving today. See them all at Universal Appliance and Kitchen Center (UAKC).1. Microwave ovens.Although the first microwave ovens date back to the 1950's, it wasn't until the late '70s that they became commonplace. Today, microwave ovens are considered a standard appliance in homes across America. While we could still debate some of the pros and cons of microwave cooking, the vote is in and microwave ovens will continue to be offered by the full line major appliance brands for the forseeable future.Microwave oven drawers.A valuable design alternative to the microwave hood (which some consider ergonomically unsound), the microwave drawer adds additional opportunities for the placement of a microwave. Under the counter, the microwave drawer is easily accessible and already has become commonplace in universal design schemes. There are a large selection of brands with microwave drawer options. Sharp is a leader in the category, but Dacor, Jenn-Air, Thermador, and Viking are just a few of the other brands avaialble.2. Convection ovens. This is a product that has been around for a long time and has gradually become a popular cooking method. Cooking with convection has been proven to save time and cook more evenly. Convection is -

Take a Fresh Look at GE Monogram
GE Monogram Belongs in the Luxury Appliance CategoryWhen considering luxury appliance brands, some have discounted GE Monogram not because of the products but because of the "GE" in the Monogram brand name. General Electric is a big name in appliances anchored with the GE name. They include GE, GE Profile, GE Cafe, GE Artistry Series, and GE Monogram. Luxury customers seeking exclusivity can be put off by the association of the Monogram line with its sister GE brands of lower esteem. This is unfortunate.Consider that Whirlpool uses Jenn-Air as their brand in the super premium category. Frigidaire is the mass brand for Electrolux, while Electrolux brand and Electrolux Icon are their top end brand names. The German company BSH has similarly segmented its brands Bosch, Thermador, and Gaggenau. But somehow it's just not the same because General Electric has kept its name on Monogram appliances as GE Monogram. However, there is plenty of differentiation between GE Monogram and GE's other brands. For example, GE Monogram has a really well-featured and attractive line of professional style ranges and rangetops completely different from anything in the the rest of their portfolio. If you want the appearance and performance of pro ranges or rangetops, you should definitely consider GE Monogram. In built-In refrigerators and wine units, GE Monogram is one of only a few brands that also offers a lineup of integrated models. These can be installed flush with hidden hinges to -

Reasons to Buy an Induction Cooktop or Range
4 Good Reasons to Consider InductionHere are four very good reasons you should consider induction if you are purchasing a new range or cooktop. If you think Induction might be for you, be sure to contact the cooking experts at Universal Appliance and Kitchen Center (UAKC). They carry all the major brands and have excellent selection and prices.1. Fast to heat Induction will heat faster than gas or conventional electric heating. One manufacturer has even touted that their induction cooktop will boil water in 90 seconds. Powerful electric coils under the glass surface create magnetic induction energy causing the metal cooking vessel to quickly heat up. The pan itself is what will cook your food in record time.2. Responsive Induction cooking is very responsive. Since the power turns on and off instantly and doesn't need to ramp up or down, you'll see boiling water stop boiling almost immediately when you turn off the power.3. Very little heat transfer to cooking surface Unlike traditional heating methods, the intense heat doesn't spread to the adjacent cooking surface, making cleanup a breeze. 4. Prices are the lowest ever.Just in the last year or two induction cooktops and ranges have dropped considerably in price. There are models for nearly any budget. Most appliance brands in the popular price range such as GE, Frigidaire, and Whirlpool now have induction models in their lineup. Upgrade brands such as KitchenAid, Bosch, GE Profile, and Electrolux have some great features and represent terrific values. For top of the line
