For the first time, HORIZONTAL SHOWER permits showering using the AMBIANCE TUNING TECHNIQUE while reclining. The application combines six WATER BARS recessed into a broad shower field above a reclining space, along with an eTOOL as the main operating element. Just as with VERTICAL SHOWER, with HORIZONTAL SHOWER the user can also choose from among a variety of pre-programmed choreographies, offering a range of settings for water temperature, intensity and quantity. The user can decide from among BALANCING, ENERGIZING or DE-STRESSING effects.

The distinguishing feature of this Deque is its severe use of forms, reduced to the flat, wide spout. The new, low fitting lies close to the basin, directing attention to the essential element of this series – the presentation of the water.

The striking thing about Deque is contrast: firstly between the gentle path of the water and the severe shape of the fitting, and secondly between the emphatically flat spout and the cylindrical control elements, a discontinuity of form that is particularly evident in the single-lever mixer.

Go bold with Kohler's new collection of sinks created in collaboration with designer Jonathan Adler. You'd like to fix up the bathroom, but you just can't spring for a $25,000 renovation. Here are some ideas to refresh and makeover a bathroom on a budget, and make it look like a million dollars:

Before

1. Paint an accent wall. You can change the entire look of your bathroom with a paintbrush. Introduce color into a drab bathroom and the room looks fresh and modern.

2. Add a backsplash. Add interest behind the vanity area with a beautiful blackspash.

3. Refinish the vanity cabinets. Introduce color and contrast into your bathroom with refinished cabinets. Often a coat of paint and new hardware can make it look like a new room.

4. Change out the vanity mirror. Replace that large frameless mirror with a picture frame mirror (or two if you have a double vanity.

5. Change the light fixtures. The old hollywood bar fixture (above) makes the bathroom look dated. A new fixture is an inexpensive way to remake the bathroom and add to the value of your home.

6. Replace the sink or sinks. Sometimes vanity sinks can be replaced without replacing the countertops. Attractive and colorful vessels and sinks provide a pleasant change of pace.

1. Sinks are often categorized by mounting method. Sinks can be topmount, undermount, wallmount, or universalmount.
2. You will also need to decide what style of sink you want. A Farmhouse or apron front sink has a unique style and is often a large single bowl. Some round sinks sit on top of the counter and look great in a vanity’s modern decor.
   
3. There are a host of materials to choose from in selecting a sink. The two most common materials are stainless steel and porcelain, but composite materials are very durable and also a good choice.

   

   

   

4. Bowls can be single or double. Double bowls may be equal or unequal. Unequal sinks may have the smaller bowl on either the right or the left. Bowl depths also vary.
   
5. The size or width of the sink may vary from a small 12″ single prep sink, to a big 45″ Farmhouse sink, with common sizes being 30-36″.
