From Pork Tenderloin Dinner to Pork Sliders GE's Slider RecipeLast week we offered up GE's terrific recipe for Pork Tenderloin, but what about the leftovers? Often my favorite meals are the awesome and creative leftover solutions. Here's a recipe for sliders using leftover pork tenderloin. Yummy!A tasty way to use up leftovers from our delicious Dijon-Thyme Roasted Pork Tenderloin recipe. Slices of pork and a zesty aioli make for delicious little sandwiches. INGREDIENTS:½ recipe Dijon-Thyme Roasted Pork Tenderloin½ cup mayonnaise¼ cup pan sauce1 teaspoon lemon juice3 cups arugula6 small bunsMETHOD: Slice the leftover pork into ½ inch slices. To make the aioli, combine mayonnaise, pan sauce and lemon juice in a small bowl. Spread aioli on to each half of the bun. Top with 2 slices of pork and a handful of arugula. New Appliances Fit for Los Angeles
GE to Market Haier AppliancesUAKC offers more appliance choices with HaierIt's only been a couple of short years since GE Appliances became part of the Worldwide Haier Group of appliances. At this year's Builder/Kitchen and Bath Show, GE announced the addition of Haier Appliances to its lineup. This is good news to many in the LA basin. There are an amazing number of homes and apartments in the LA area which have 24" wall and base cabinets. Replacing appliances in these cabinets can be a real problem since most US appliances are designed to fit in 30" cabinets. We've been able to get by all these years by replacing appliances with some 24" wide low end brands which have limited appeal, and more recently with some European brands which commonly are built at 60 centimeters, a width that fits nicely in a 24" space. Also, both Viking and Sub Zero Wolf have added some products in this dimension. Therefore, it's really good news that GE is now launching an updated line of Haier appliances that (for the most part) are designed to fit that 24" space. Here's what GE's vice president of sales, Robert Posthauer had to say at this years IBS/KBIS in Orlando:“Haier offers a full product suite of both built-in and freestanding appliances that fit the needs for smaller footprints and offers our customers new opportunities." The line includes some needed products for this space such as a 24" over the range microwave as well as this stunning 4 door refrigerator -

Black Stainless Steel
More thoughts on Black Stainless SteelChoices about at Universal Appliance and Kitchen CenterIt looks like almost everyone has jumped on the Black Stainless bandwagon when it comes to appliance finishes. KitchenAid introduced a Black Stainless Steel refrigerator only a couple of years ago. Since then, Samsung has launched an entire line of Black Stainless Steel, along with LG. However, Dacor, a Samsung owned company, appears to be the only luxury brand to enter the Black Stainless fray with their new Modernist collection.Frigidaire appears to be jumping into the Black Stainless appliance pool with a full-line offering. Parent company, Electrolux, has yet to announce its intentions with their premium Electrolux offering. Similarly, Bosch has introduced a dishwasher in Black Stainless, presumably to be followed with a full line. However, Bosch's high end brands, such as Thermador, and Gaggenau have not made a move in this direction. It seems clear that this finish has a definite appeal for Millennials, and will find a home not in the entry level, but in the upgrade offerings of the popular brands GE, Frigidaire, and Whirlpool; as well as the Korean brands Samsung, and LG who have carved out a strong offering for Millennials.Notably, Whirlpool's super premium brand, Jenn-Air does not have Black Stainless, nor does GE's luxury brand, Monogram. Here's the good news. Universal Appliance and Kitchen Center is your headquarters for major appliances regardless of brand or finish. They carry all the major brands as well as most of the specialty brands, and an interesting selection -

When it starts warming up consider a cool wine
Rose' for the seasonRosé is our choice when warm weather loomsWhat is rosé? Quite simply, rosé is a wine that has the some of the color of the grape skin, but not enough to be a red wine. The grape skins are left in the “juice” until the rosé blush is obtained. Though it does happen, it's considered cheating to mix white and red wine to produce rosé. In fact, by law, French Rosé wine cannot be made by merely mixing white and red. There is a surprising variety in rosé wines ranging from a very pale pink, to bordering on red, and even an orange color.Even if you both like red, or both like white, Memorial Day is a great opportunity to step out and try something different. As an FYI, in the U.S. we drink a bit more red than white wine. In France, they not only drink considerably more red wine than white, but white wine is not even in second place. The French drink more rosé wine than white wine, and of course, they drink a lot of champagneMy favorite among the rosés is sparkling rosé, especially on special occasions. Here's a reasonably priced sparkling rose' from Total Wine:St Reine RoseOFF-DRY . STRAWBERRY . RED FRUIT . MEDIUM-BODIEDFrance - This pink rose has fine and delicate bubbles. Pale rose in color with a medium-body. The creamy texture has a palate full of red fruit flavors. Perfect with most foods or used to toast.Need a wine storage
