International Builders Show andKitchen And Bath Industry Show On Feb. 3-6, 2014 the International Builders Show (IBS) and the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS) for the first time will be co-locating their shows at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Product lines that will be showcased include many of the major appliance and plumbing fixture brands that you can find at Universal Appliance and Kitchen Center (UAKC). Just to give you an idea, induction cooking has been previewed at these shows for at least 10-15 years. Now, it is finally a reality with nearly all cooking product manufacturers offering some induction cooktops and/or ranges. Similarly, various speed cooking products have been shown over the years with mixed success. Both GE and Whirlpool have versions (Advantium and Velos) on the market now, but Thermador's Jet Impingement system shown in the early 2000's never launched. What will we see this year? Trends in Induction Ranges and Cooktops Induction Cooking at Universal Appliance and Kitchen Center 2014 may be the "year of induction" when it comes to ranges and cooktops. All the major manufacturers seem to have joined the fray. Prices have never been better, and choices abound with a variety of outstanding features all available at Universal Appliance and Kitchen Center (UAKC) . New Double Oven Ranges
Thinking About a Double Oven Range? Best Selection at Universal Appliance and Kitchen Center Increasingly popular because of its ability to cook different foods at different temperatures all at the same time, the double oven range was first introduced by Maytag back in the 90s. Since then, it has become enormously popular, and all the mainstream range producers are building versions of double oven ranges. Brand names include such favorites as GE, Frigidaire, Electrolux, Maytag, Whirlpool, and KitchenAid. All are available at the two Universal Appliance and Kitchen Center locations in Southern California. These ranges come in a variety of styles, configurations, and fuel types, but all share the same idea that you can cook various foods for different times and temperatures in separate ovens. GE, Maytag, KitchenAid, and LG received top-ratings from that "leading consumer magazine". The 4.2 cu. ft. Electrolux is a front control slide-in range with the small oven on the bottom. Electrolux also offers an induction cooking option. Electrolux 30 in. 4.2 cu. ft. Choosing an Appliance Brand
Get the Appliance Brand that Fits UAKC Has Great Selection and Low Prices If you are building a home or remodeling, you'll need to think about selecting the appliance brand that best suits your needs. Just like clothing or automobiles, appliance brands make a "statement" and the brand you select should be a good fit for the house you are building or the kitchen you are remodeling. At Universal Appliance and Kitchen Center, (UAKC) the sales associates will help you select the appliances that are the right "fit" for you. Appliance brands can be categorized along dimensions such as price, lifestyle or even generational such as millenial, Gen X or Y, boomer, etc. To make it easy we combine and simplify along mass brands, premium, super premium, and luxury brands. Think of mass brands as including Frigidaire, GE, Maytag, and Whirlpool. Premium brands would include Bosch, GE Profile, GE Cafe, and KitchenAid. Among the super premium brands are Electrolux, Jenn-Air, and Thermador. Luxury brands include GE Monogram, Wolf Sub Zero, Gaggenau, Miele, and Viking. These are broad categories are there are no hard rules here so some appliance professionals will argue for example that Thermador could be included in the luxury category, and that Maytag laundry should be considered a premium brand. But you get the idea. These are ALL good respectable brands, but they are positioned by their companies with pricing and features to fit in certain niches. The reason it's important for consumers to have a general idea
