Recipe of the Month
Greek Turkey Burgers with Tzatziki Coleslaw I was given this recipe by the local Miele Chef a couple of years ago, at an event in Phoenix. The burgers were just outstanding. Of course, it's just not Greek if you don't have Tzatziki to accompany your burgers. The recipe calls for using the Miele Combi-Steam Oven. If you don't have a steam combi oven, you'll want to run out and get one, or develop a work around. Seriously, the steam really helps with keeping the burgers moist throughout, and evenly cooked without burning. So what you need to do without the steam combi oven is to cook a little longer in a baking dish with a little water and place a lid on the top (leave an opening). Check frequently, keep it moist and make sure you get the internal 165 temperature. Cooking Time: 35 Minutes Preparation Time: 10 Minutes Ingredients for Turkey Burgers 2 1/4 pounds ground turkey 1/2 tablespoon butter 1/2 tablespoon olive oil 1 1/2 cups red onion coarsely chopped 1 tablespoon Canadian steak seasoning 1/4 tablespoon Greek oregano 3/4 cup feta cheese, crumbled 5 Kaiser rolls Directions For Tukey Burger Melt butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, add red onion. Sauté onion until carmelized. Allow onion to cool. In a mixing bowl combine onion, turkey, Canadian steak seasoning, oregano, and feta cheese. Form five 8-ounce patties. Place the wire rack on top on top of the universal tray. Trasfer the patties to the -

New Professional Home Appliances Updated
Pro-Style® Cooking Appliances are Changing The Pro-Look Gets a Sleek Update As professional looking appliances have gained popularity in luxury kitchens, they have often been mixed with sleek flush European style appliances. A Bosch or Asko dishwasher featuring a flush matching cabinet panel disappears into the cabinetry while nearby there is a Sub-Zero integrated built-in refrigerator with hidden hinges and door panels that match the adjacent cabinets. They're invisible as appliances and fit right in to the wall. Though it's not possible to do this with cooking appliances, manufacturers have made their cooktops and ranges much more sleek and contemporary-looking. This has become particularly noticeable recently, as even Professional Style appliances have become more flush, but still keep their Pro heritage. Check out the three entries below from Jenn-Air, Wolf, and Miele. Jenn-Air Jenn-Air's new 30" and 36" Pro-Style® cooktops have undergone a complete redesign. Not only have they added more power and new brass burners, but the surface of the cooktop itself is as near to flush as you can get without being inset into the counter. The heavy duty knobs still have a Pro look and feel, but they are somewhat less obtrusive. By the way, the term Pro-Style® is a registered Jenn-Air trademark. Wolf Wolf's new "M" Series Professional Oven still sports their signature red knobs, but also has touch electronic controls that work in conjunction with the knobs. Wolf has worked their magic by producing a jumbo oven with twin convection fans, yet it all fits -

Miele Appliances at KBIS/IBS 2015
New Miele Range a Winner in Las VegasMiele Appliances shown at KBIS/IBS 2015It's hard to come away a winner when you go to Las Vegas. But, the new Miele range was a good bet at the 2015 Design and Construction Week (*KBIS/IBS) show in January. Miele partnered up with some top kitchen brands (Haefele, Bauformat, and Cosentino) to showcase their luxury appliance brand. The new Miele Range, their first EVER, was a huge hit. (To clarify, Miele has been very successful in cooking products such as built-in cooktops and ovens over the years, but they've not ventured into the range business until now).Miele's range model line up consists of several configurations in 30", 36", and 48" ranges. The range line has been eight years in the making, and the attention to detail shows in the innovative features, and stunning Miele design, not to mention the durable construction. Miele's 30" range weighs in at 337 lbs. Compare that to the 160 lbs. of a typical Whirlpool gas range. You might also expect state of the art technology in a range of this class, and Miele does not disappoint. With a high-tech control panel that includes their exclusive MasterChef electronic controls, the new Miele features algorithms to perfectly cook many foods, and it will also store your own special recipes. Miele has taken a fresh look at every feature on a range. For example, Miele's unique range handle is designed to swivel from its vertical -

The BEST place for major appliances and plumbing fixtures
Why Universal Appliance and Kitchen Center is YOUR best choice If you're doing your due diligence on where to purchase new appliances and plumbing fixtures, you should consider Universal Appliance an Kitchen Center (UAKC). Here's why: The Other Guys Southern California has its fair share of appliance showrooms. Some focus exclusively on esoteric products, and have luxurious, look-but-don't-touch showrooms. They make you feel as if you need to present your credentials before entering. At the other extreme, you may want to think twice about appliance retailers that advertise with tag lines that say "New and Used" or "We Take Trade-Ins." Just as risky, is going to the big box stores where sales associates wear aprons and sell light-bulbs, and garden supplies along with appliances, and plumbing supplies. The UAKC Difference UAKC does have very nice showrooms (see video below) in great locations. Expect live appliance vignettes, and beautiful designer displays, as well as rows of gleaming appliances. No matter your interests, you're always going to feel at home at UAKC. Even if they don't have valet parking (lol), you're sure to be greeted with a smile by a knowledgable sales associate. At UAKC, you'll find a host of luxury brands such as Wolf, Sub Zero, Viking, Thermador, Miele, etc. available for the most refined and discerning tastes. In additon, you'll also find on display top mass brands such as GE, Frigidaire, Whirlpool, and more. This is a signature feature at UAKC. They'll work hard to match your wishes and desires, -

Miele Generation 6000
New Appliance Launch From Miele Miele Generation 6000 Series available at Universal Appliance and Kitchen Center Miele has introduced their latest line of luxury appliances, Generation 6000. Here's how Miele describes this new product line: Princeton, NJ - April 11, 2014 - Following five years of extensive product development, Miele introduces its Generation 6000 series of appliances. As the most significant Miele product launch in the United States, Generation 6000 sets new benchmarks in design, technology and innovation. Comprising new convection ovens, speed ovens, steam ovens, combi-steam ovens, coffee systems, microwave ovens and gourmet warming drawers - Miele Generation 6000 ensures unprecedented convenience, performance and elegance for today’s kitchen. Miele is a German company founded in 1899. Early on, Miele adopted the motto Immer Besser, "forever better", which has stood the test of time. The German engineered new Generation 6000 line exemplifies the motto and is designed to last 20 years. 20 YEARS. That's really remarkable! Especially considering that many appliances are built with planned obsolescence for replacement cycles of 10-15 years. As you can see, Miele will have none of this. Their new Generation 6000 series comes in two style configurations: Pureline which has a streamlined smooth look. Contourline highlights stainless steel. photos: courtesy of Miele Kitchens can take advantage of either line to achieve their style objectives. Or each line can complement each other in a single kitchen. Generation 6000 is much more than just a harmonious style. The new appliance line has controls that are amazingly intuitive
