Sub Zero Refrigerator Installation Options
Options for Installing your Sub-Zero Built-In Refrigerator It's no surprise that you want your Sub-Zero refrigerator to have a stunning appearance in your new kitchen. The kitchen is the heart of your home, and the new Sub-Zero refrigerator you are purchasing is the cornerstone of your kitchen. Here are some of the choices you may need to make regarding the configuration of your refrigerator that will determine how it looks in your kitchen. Perhaps you are buying one of the very popular standard Sub-Zero Built-Ins with a stainless steel front, such as the BI42SD. You may elect to have it installed (by Universal Appliance and Kitchen Center) in a standard 24" deep cabinet. The refrigerator cabinet itself is 24" deep. The doors will not be flush with the cabinet and stick out a couple of inches. Most of the time this is not a big issue, and the stainless version is by far the most common configuration of a standard built-in refrigerator. There are some more custom options with this model, however. It is possible to have a flush inset installation if the refrigerator is recessed or with deeper cabinets. You may also want custom wood panels that match the cabinets. In that case you can order the refrigerator without the stainless steel doors so that it will accept custom panels. You may elect to have the custom panels fit into a frame for a framed installation, or you could have them installed as custom overlay panels which would be -

French Door Refrigerators
What is a French Door Refrigerator? There are four basic refrigerator/freezer categories. They are: Top-mount. This unit has the freezer on the top and a refrigerator below the freezer compartment. Doors are hinged to side swing from either the right or left.Bottom-mount. Bottom-mounts or bottom freezer configurations have the refrigerator on the top and a freezer below. The refrigerator door is hinged like the top mount, but the freezer may be either a side swing or a slide-out drawer.Side-by-Side. Side-by-Side refrigerators are a very popular configuration that have the freezer compartment on the left and the refrigerator compartment on the right. The doors are hinged on either side.French Door. These are bottom freezer refrigerators with a split-door in the refrigerator compartment that allows the refrigerator to be opened from the center. They have become increasingly popular in recent years.History of French Door refrigerators Some industry veterans may recall the short-lived appearance of a French Door model refrigerator from Whirlpool back in the '80s. It did not take with consumers, and was soon dropped. The Amana brand is well-known for its refrigeration and has been a leader in bottom freezer refrigerators for many years. In the late '90s Amana launched the first successful French Door refrigerators. Amana was acquired by Maytag in 2000, and shortly thereafter Maytag's premier Jenn-Air brand introduced a counter-depth French Door model which was a big hit. Soon all the major U.S. manufacturers had French Door refrigerator models. Not surprisingly, the Korean brands were quick to chime in with -

Problem Solved - A 36" wall oven from Wolf
A very popular configuration in the kitchen has become a cooktop with a wall-oven underneath. It's a space saving solution that has good esthetics with a nice uninterrupted site line on the countertop as well as several other advantages over a freestanding or slide-in range. Customers are often frustrated however, that when they choose a cooktop that is 36" wide, the oven is only 30" wide and therefore doesn't really match. Not to worry. Wolf makes a great 36" wall oven that will fit nicely under your choice of 36" cooktops. Its unframed door design gives the Wolf L Series 36" Built-In Single Oven a contemporary look. Dual convection delivers superior results and faster cooking; the temperature probe gives you fine control. The easy-to-use electronic control panel rotates into position. When not in use, it’s hidden behind a stainless steel panel. No compromise: you get the 36" cooktop you want and have a great 36" oven underneath. Just look at the list of features that your new Wolf oven will come with:Dual convection system with two fans and four heating elements that deliver powerful even heat distribution.Hidden back element and recessed broil element allow use of the entire oven cavityWolf exclusive spring and damper door hinge system for smooth opening and closingTen cooking modes—bake, roast, broil, convection bake, convection roast, convection broil, convection, bake stone (accessory required), dehydrate (accessory required) and proofRotating glass touch control panel that can disappear when the oven is not in useStunning cobalt blue porcelain oven interiorFive level -

Pro 48 from Sub-Zero - A Unique Kitchen Appliance
There are so many copycats in the kitchen appliance business that it's often hard to tell one product from another or recognize one brand from another. But when it comes to the Pro 48 Refrigerator/Freezer from Sub-Zero there is just nothing like it. Nothing else looks like the Pro 48, and nothing performs like it.First let's review a few of the unique design features of this product. It's probably the most eye-catching refrigerator out there if only for its sheer size. The bold professional look of the refrigerator doesn't seek to hide either. It stands out proudly and screams heavy duty. Large towel bar handles coordinate with Sub-Zero's sister Wolf range brand to give a family appearance. The Pro 48 can be ordered with a glass window in the refrigerator door or with a solid stainless steel refrigerator door. From the sturdy 4" legs at the bottom to the industrial appearance of the top grill vent, this unit has a top to bottom Professional look that will wow your guests every time they enter the kitchen. The design team at Sub-Zero didn't stop with looks alone, however. The glass on the door is triple pane and UV resistant. The upper grill flips up for easy access. The Pro 48 refrigerator can be built-in or, with an accessory kit, can be used in a freestanding application. There is an external temperature display with easy to read digital readouts so you don't have to open the unit and let all that cold -

Smart Appliances are spreading.
> SubZero and Wolf Appliance Co. has announced the availablity of the Smart Appliance App and Module engineered by Card Access to integrate into Control4® wireless home control systems for its appliances. "Incorporating technology within our products reinforces our commitment to improving our customers' ownership experience," said Michele Bedard, vice president of marketing for Sub-Zero and Wolf. The Smart Appliance App provides an alert system that allows meals to be monitored from anywhere in the home. The system's functions include notifications of pre-heat and timer completion, current oven temperature, and knowing when meals are finished cooking based on the internal temperature probe's reading. System alerts can notify homeowners when the refrigerator door has been left open, helping to prevent temperature variances that lead to food spoilage. The app can also maximize energy efficiency by lowering the refrigerator's power consumption at different times of day. Specific lifestyle needs and preferences such as increasing ice production prior to entertaining, saving energy in vacation mode and choosing the Sabbath mode for religious observances can also be met by the software. An additional benefit of the technology is an enhanced service experience. General service requests can be sent directly to Wolf and Sub-Zero's certified service professionals through the Control4 system, leading to quicker diagnosis and resolution of problems.
