Be aware of the finger-print proof finish

i purchased one of these in 2019 and soon after the black control panel start to suffer from discoloring under normal usage. i contacted samsung product service within the warranty period and was denied coverage for repair on the ground that it is 'cosmetic'. the repair was prohibitively expensive by the way. well, i paid extra to purchase the finger-print proof feature and it caused the unit to be unsightly. samsung won't back up their product, on this feature at least. be ware.

Great styling and perfect fit. Burners are very even and powerful. Lighted dials are a nice touch in the evenings.

I purchased the Samsung 30" cookto 4 months ago. I love it its easy to clean and has such a sleek look. The burner knobs glow blue when on so you know it's on. I especially love the fact that it has the 5th burner in the center. Great for large pots.

Discoloration

Really disappointed on the quality of this product. I purchased this product 2 months ago and it is starting to get discoloration on the top panel and by the knobs. I called support service and told me that i need to schedule a service, not covered by warranty to fix the cosmetic issue. this is not what i expected from a samsung product, this is a quality issue. it's been less than 2 months.

i bought my 30" cooktop 9 months ago. i really enjoyed the details like the griddle and the lighted knobs. the cast iron grates i feel are the problem. they stay hot a really long time when the stove is off, which is not the problem. moving the grate to clean the stove before it is completely cool in addition to the poor design of the grate caused the grate to crack and eventually break. and trying to find a replacement part has been super frustrating. customer support sent me some links to parts that did not have the part listed and told me to call parts on m-f. 2 months, no resolution.
