Dryer almost caught on fire after 1 year of use. Grate in the back of the dryer was black.

As has been noted by other reviewers, there are multiple flaws with this dryer. I believe them to be design flaws with the model itself, and not specific to any individual unit:1) The auto setting never drys after a single load. At a minimum, it takes two cycles on auto.2) On normal temp, the dryer burns clothing and leaves burnt "waffle" marks matching the vent inside the drum. In addition to burning and leaving waffle marks I have experienced melted fabric, torn fabric, and more traditional burn marks. This has happened on both synthetic and non-synthetic fabrics. It has happened to clothing, comforters, blankets, pillow cases, etc. Normal stuff.3) The dryer sounds like it has boulders inside. In my case, the rollers have been replaced and it sounds just as bad. It is unbelievably noisy. Service techs were astonished at how noisy it still was even after the rollers were replaced.As is typical of other reviews, I have had the unit serviced multiple times and the issues persist. I have also experienced the same as others, most service technicians will make every attempt to blame the problems on your use of the dryer, or they will tell you it's because you haven't cleaned the vent. My vent was clean, and my usage of the dryer was in line with the instruction manual.This is an absolutely terrible product that should be recalled. I am disgusted and will never purchase another Electrolux appliance of any sort.I believe these are discontinued, but if you come across one somewhere I hope this review causes you to look elsewhere.
