A premium feature of this 36-inch canopy hood is a perimeter ventilation system. This promotes efficiency by pulling air from the edges of the hood and allows it to handle up to a 65K total output with a 400 CFM motor. The perimeter design also allows the hood to operate quietly, even at higher speeds.




400 CFM/65K BTU Threshold

Allows installation over any KitchenAid regular 36- or 30-inch range or cooktop, and some commercial-style cooking surfaces with outputs up to 65K BTU.


Perimeter Ventilation

Increases ventilation system efficiency by pulling air from the edges of the hood and speeding up the movement of air at the center, allowing it to efficiently handle up to a 65K BTU total output.


LED Task Lights

Provide extra lighting over the cooking surface to help in the cooking process.

I’ve had this about 2 months now. Looks great and complements my 36” range very nicely. Overall, very happy. At times I wish it had the option for a little more lighting.

i bought this in August and we just finished our kitchen. the chimney that came with it was too short so we ordered the extension that was approx $250 plus $25 shipping and were told it would arrive the following Tuesday. Our contractor made it fit in the next hour. so we cancelled the order the same day just an hour later and were told it wouldn't ship as we cancelled in time. on Sunday morning we woke up to it sitting on our front porch and we were charged $158 to ship it back. what a ripoff. I just spent $17,000 on all Kitchenaid appliances and their support line refused to give us a $25 shipping tag to send it back and said we'd have to eat the shipping both ways. when we asked to speak to a supervisor they pretended we had a bad connection on the phone and said they all of a sudden couldn't hear us anymore. we called multiple times and no one would let us speak with a supervisor and were rude on the phone to us.

Bought this for another house but made it work in this one. Love the canopy style but a little difficult to install in a home if you are remodeling.

Lower front corners are a serious cut hazard.

This canopy hood was included in a new home I bought from Pulte Homes in Georgetown, Texas. The main complaint I have is that the lower front corners are very sharp and create a serious cut hazard. The Hood does not seem to vent well even at the high speed setting. The lights are very bright and light up the range below very well.
